TYLER, TX (KLTV) - Artist Jack Mason has a passion for history and he uses that passion to recreate history in art.

Mason began his historic paintings with Texas Missions. He has also painted the Tarrant and Harrison County courthouses.

His newest historic work of art is the 1909 Smith County Courthouse, which will be auctioned at the Smith County Historical Society's benefit "Somewhere In Time" September 30th at Tyler's Hollytree Country Club.

Mason is donating the painting and will be at the event to sign his limited edition prints.
