Burglary/Vehicle - 400 Block Lynn Avenue: On Sunday, September 26, 2010, a complainant reported to Lufkin Police Department that at approximately 11:20 P.M. that date an unidentified actor(s) burglarized a vehicle parked in the driveway of the complainant's residence, located in the 400 block of Lynn Avenue.  According to the report, the complainant stated that the actor(s) forced entry into the vehicle by damaging one of the vehicle's windows and removed from within the vehicle a wallet containing a driver's license, Social Security card, and debit card.  The report stated that the incident was referred for further investigation.

Counterfeiting - 4600 Block South Medford Drive: On Sunday, September 26, 2010, a complainant reported to Lufkin Police Department that at approximately 3:40 P.M. that date an unidentified suspect attempted to pass counterfeit currency at a business located within Lufkin Mall.  According to the report, the complainant, an employee of the business, stated that the Hispanic male suspect attempted to pay for his purchase using a counterfeit five-dollar bill but, when confronted by the complainant about the bill being fake, the suspect paid using genuine currency.  The report stated that the suspect left the business prior to the complainant contacting Lufkin Police Department but the counterfeit bill was collected as evidence and that the incident was referred for further investigation.

Criminal Mischief - 300 Block South John Redditt Drive: At approximately 12:37 P.M. on Sunday, September 26, 2010, a complainant reported to Lufkin Police Department that approximately nine hours earlier an unidentified actor(s) damaged a window of the complainant's residence, an apartment located in the 300 block of South John Redditt Drive.  The report stated that the incident was referred for further investigation.

 Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle - 3200 Block Daniel McCall Drive: On Sunday, September 26, 2010, a female complainant reported to Lufkin Police Department that at approximately 9:00 A.M. that date a male suspect, known to the complainant only by a first name, stole the complainant's vehicle, a tan 1997 Jeep Cherokee, from outside of the complainant's residence, an apartment located in the 3200 block of Daniel McCall Drive.  According to the report, the complainant stated that she met the suspect online and brought him from Houston to Lufkin to spend the weekend at her residence but the suspect stole the complainant's vehicle Sunday Morning when the complainant's work schedule prevented her returning the suspect to Houston at the time he wished.  The report stated that Houston Police Department was notified of the stolen vehicle but Officers did not locate the vehicle or suspect at the reported home address of the suspect.  The report stated that the incident was referred for further investigation.
