DIBOLL, TX (KTRE) - Two Houston men may have raised a red flag right away by walking through a Diboll bank drive-through and attempting to pass two forged checks, according to Diboll Police.

Det. Brandan Lovell said Christopher Dale Cooper, 39, and Marcus Tyrone Bolt, 27, had made checks with duplicate information from a Corrigan business. They then walked through a drive-through on Wednesday at First Bank and Trust, located at 104 N. Temple Drive, around 3:30 p.m., and tried to cash them for more than $4,000, Lovell said.

Police responded to the bank's call and arrested the pair. They were booked into the Angelina County Jail on Thursday on charges of engaging in organized criminal activity. A third man, Roderick Johnson, 43, of Houston, was in a getaway car and Lovell said he drove off once he saw police arrive.

Lovell said police are in the process of getting an arrest warrant for Johnson.
