Win provides relief for Cowboys going into bye

IRVING, Texas (AP) - A 1-2 record has never looked so good for the Dallas Cowboys.

Considering the doomsday scenario of being winless going into their bye week, there is some sense of relief for the Cowboys after their 27-13 victory at Houston.

Safety Gerald Sensabaugh says it's a relief and exciting for the team to play like it did against the Texans. Cornerback Mike Jenkins says everybody again was "just playing as one."

Inspired by pregame words from special teams coach Joe DeCamillis, the Cowboys avoided the 0-3 start and their first three-game losing streak under coach Wade Phillips. They stayed within one game of NFC East-leading Philadelphia (2-1) while division foes Washington and the New York Giants are also 1-2.
