LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - A grand jury will review the case of a baby left in a car at the Lufkin Walmart on Sept. 24, according to Lufkin Police.
The lead investigator met with the Angelina County District Attorney's Office on the evidence and a decision was made to allow a grand jury to decide if prosecutors should pursue criminal charges.
According to a previous report, the baby's grandfather, Lonny Ray Riley, 40, and his girlfriend, Pamela Ortega, 30, both of Groveton, who were babysitting the baby, left her in the car.
The baby was treated at a Lufkin hospital and released the same day.
