First October Weekend Looking Great

(KTRE): We will be rounding out the month of September and entering October on a great note weather-wise.

After enjoying a week with cool nights and warm afternoons, more is in store this upcoming weekend.

Another cold front will move through East Texas on Friday, reinforcing the cool and dry weather we already have in place.

Behind this front, low temperatures this weekend will fall into the lower 50's, while highs manage to make the lower to middle 80's.

With plenty of sunshine and pleasant conditions, this weekend will cooperate with any outdoor activities you might have.

One event we have going on locally this weekend is the VFW Carnival in Lufkin.  If you would like to sign up for armbands, please click here.  We will draw five pairs of winners and announce them on your East Texas News on Friday evening.

If any of you are headed up to Dallas for the Texas State Fair and the Texas vs. Oklahoma game on Saturday, the weather will be just as nice.
