LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - A second man who Lufkin Police say confessed to a Sunday home burglary was been booked in the Angelina County Jail on Wednesday. He accepted a probation sentence on Thursday.
According to a previous report, police had no suspects or leads in a home burglary on the 200 block of Fuller Springs Drive, in which the burglars stole a 50-inch television, laptop computer, digital camera and DVDs.
But on March 16, the Jasper County Sheriff's Office arrested Joshua Wayne Thorsen, 26, of Lufkin, and Luther Wood III, 26, of Jasper, for a burglary in Jasper County. During an interview with an investigator, the pair confessed to the Lufkin burglary, Smith said.
Thorsen was transferred to the Angelina County Jail in June, where he was charged with burglary of a habitation.
Wood was transferred to the jail Wednesday, where he was charged with the same crime, having resolved the Jasper County charge. He accepted a probation sentence on Thursday.
