SAN AUGUSTINE, TX (KTRE) – The San Augustine Police Department is investigating a possible confrontation between County Judge Randy Williams and the county clerk's husband, Stanley Kovar.
According to Chief Jessee Fountain with the San Augustine Police Department, the incident allegedly took place Friday morning in the San Augustine Courthouse parking lot.
Williams reportedly talked harshly to County Clerk Diana Kovar.
Apparently, Kovar then told her husband who got upset and confronted Williams.
It was reported the two got into an altercation and were grabbing each other's clothing, but neither were injured.
Fountain said there were witnesses who watched the incident take place.
The investigation will be presented before a grand jury to determine if Stanley Kovar should be charged with assault on a public servant.
