Lufkin woman injured in Chestnut Street wreck

LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - A Lufkin woman suffered a head injury after hitting an elderly woman who apparently pulled out in front of her from Whitehouse Drive onto Chestnut Street, according to Lufkin Police.

Police say Margaret Tucker, 87, and her passenger, Herman Tucker, 90, were driving a Cadillac and attempted to make a left-hand turn onto Chestnut Street. That is when Tiffanie Boykin, of Lufkin, hit them.

Boykin was taken to a hospital with a laceration to the head, likely from hitting the windshield, police say.

A citation is pending.
