Trial starts in Texas windshield death

Fort Worth, Texas -- The murder trial of a woman accused of leaving a man to die in her garage after running over him with her car begins tomorrow in Fort Worth, Texas.

Police and medical reports say Chante Mallard hit Gregory Biggs with such force on that his head and shoulders jammed into the windshield where he remained, moaning, for a few hours.

The police report says Mallard kept going in and out of the garage, telling the man she was sorry. But she finally quit going into the garage and doesn't know when he died.

Biggs' body was found in a park the day after the October 2001 accident. Two of Mallard's friends pleaded guilty to dumping the body to help her and will testify against her.

The medical examiner says Biggs could have survived if he'd received medical attention.
