ANGELINA COUNTY, TX (KTRE) - ANGELINA COUNTY, TX (KTRE) - The Angelina County Sheriff's Office has arrested a Pollok man accused of assaulting his wife while she was trying to leave their home and of hitting their four-year-old child.

According to a report released by the sheriff's office, deputies responded to an emergency call from a residence on FM 1819. Upon arrival, they observed a woman standing at the end of her driveway in an obvious state of distress, with her clothing torn and visible injuries on her left arm and face.

Through an on-scene investigation, deputies determined she was trying to leave the residence because of a verbal disagreement with her husband, Larimy Lee Renfro, 30. Renfro then allegedly grabbed her by the left arm and tried to drag her out of the vehicle while striking her in the face. The report states the woman was attempting to call 911 and dispatchers could hear the struggle.

The report states Renfro then tried to take their four-year-old child from the vehicle. The child would not cooperate so Renfro struck the child in the chest with a closed fist, according to the report. Deputies observed redness on the child's chest, consistent with the strike.

The report also states Renfro punched their 13-year-old daughter in the arm.

Renfro was booked into the Angelina County Jail on charges of injury to a child, assault and interfering with an emergency phone call.
