SFA Players Receive Honorable Mention Performer of the Week

A couple of Lumberjacks were recognized for their performance in SFA's 30-7 victory over Central Arkansas Saturday in Nacogdoches. The victory was the team's fifth straight and ninth consecutive at home.
Senior Jeremy Moses was named NCAA FCS Honorable Mention Performer of the Week following his record-setting performance against Central Arkansas. Moses completed 28-of-42 passes for 333 yards and three touchdowns. It was Moses' first touchdown pass of the game that made in the Southland Conference's all-time leader in TD passes.
Charles led a defensive effort that saw him record six tackles, including three solo stops. He was credited for 2.5 tackles for 11 yards in losses, including 1.5 sacks. He also forced two fumbles, which thwarted UCA drives and batted down a pass. It was the second time this season that the Lumberjack defense held an opponent to seven points our less, and the third time it has held an opponent to 14 or less.
It marks the third time in the last two weeks that a Lumberjack has received honorable mention honors. Senior Rainey Sternes was honored last week for his efforts in the victory over McNeese State.
