Lufkin PD arrest 2 in theft spree

LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) -

LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - Lufkin Police say they have arrested two men in connection to a Tuesday afternoon theft spree.

According to the report, a person said someone burglarized her car in the parking lot of Dollar General, located at 2422 E. Denman Ave., at around 1 p.m.. Upon officers' arrival, a witness described the getaway car.

Police found a car fitting the description at Lufkin Mall, and a juvenile hiding behind a truck. While police apprehended him, the report states two men, Jerry Jerome Brown, 17, De'Corin Deaundre Robins, 19, of Huntington, came out of the mall, saw the police and ran the opposite direction.

Police managed to stop them and apprehend them. Upon a further investigation, officers determined the two men and the juvenile stole from three shops in the mall, Dollar General and the vehicle parked at Dollar General.
