Rivercrest man bonds out on shooting charges

ANGELINA COUNTY, TX (KTRE) -

LUFKIN, Texas (KTRE) - A Rivercrest man who is accused of firing gunshots at a group of people has bonded out of jail.

Joe Benny Tubbs, posted a $100,000 bond, $25,000 for each of four counts of aggravated assault.

Tubbs is accused of wounding two people, Robert Perkins and Clifford Wyer, with gunshot wounds on Tuesday in a disturbance on King River Road. A third bullet grazed the arm of a third man, Kenneth Brown.
