COPY-9/20/10 Lufkin Police report

Evading arrest - 2000 block of Stewart:  Officer attempted to contact a suspect for suspicious activity. As officer stopped the patrol vehicle, the suspect fled on foot. Officer gave chase and captured the suspect.

Assault - 1200 block of Douglass Highway:  Complainant reported being slapped by a known suspect during a disturbance. The suspect was still on scene and was arrested.

DWLI - 1100 block of Shawnee:  Officer stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation and found the driver's license to be suspended. The driver was arrested.

DWLI - 1100 block of North Street: Officer stopped a vehicle for traffic. The driver was found to have a suspended driver's license. The driver was arrested.

Assault - 200 block of Bowie Street: During a disturbance, a known male suspect allegedly struck a female in the head with his fist. Warrant requested.

Hit and run - 200 block of West Main Street: An unknown vehicle struck a parked vehicle and left the scene without giving information.

Tampering with a governmental document - 200 block of South Street: Officer issued a citation to a suspect who provided false information and signed the citation under a false name. The suspect's true identity had been discovered and a warrant has been requested.

Theft from a person-terroristic threat - 1700 block of Martin Luther King: During a disturbance, a male suspect took a female's glasses and fled. The female attempted to recover the glasses and the suspect threatened her. Warrants have been requested.
