NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) – Texas musician Robert Earl Keen and gubernatorial candidate Bill White are touring Texas together, visiting with voters along the campaign trail.
Friday they stopped by Banita Creek Hall for a concert.
White, a democrat says East Texas voters could be pivotal in deciding the upcoming election because many voters want to see real change with jobs, education and border security.
White also addressed negative television ads that tie President Barack Obama to local democrats.
White has a message for Governor Rick Perry.
"He talks about big spending in Washington so people will forget about the fact that the state debt has gone up by two and a half times while he's been governor. He wants to talk about being conservative but no conservative would live in a multi-million dollar mansion at the tax payers' expense," said White.
White calls himself a fiscal conservative Christian. He says he's confident Texans from across party lines are ready to elect change into their government.
