Lufkin Native Dez Bryant best game as a pro in Dallas loss

(KTRE) – Lufkin native Dez Bryant had a break out game on Monday night against NFC East rival New York Giants.  Dallas first round draft choice selected 24th overall showed the goods in front of a nationally televised audience.  Bryant scored three touchdowns in a 41-35 loss.

Second quarter with Dallas leading 13-7 Bryant took a Matt Dodge punt for a touchdown return his second punt return for a touchdown this season the first was against the Chicago Bears.  His return Monday night was for 93 yards the second longest in franchise history.

Bryant scored two more times in the fourth quarter this time on the receiving end.  When backup quarterback Jon Kitna who came in after Tony Romo left the game in the second quarter with a broken collarbone after taking a hard hit and landing on his non-throwing shoulder.  Kitna hit Bryant on two 15 yard touchdown receptions late in the fourth quarter.  Bryant was the lone bright spot on the night for Dallas.  The Cowboys are now 1-5 on the season they will host the Jacksonville Jaguars Sunday Oct. 31st.
