ANGELINA COUNTY, TX (KTRE) - ANGELINA COUNTY, Texas (KTRE) - A third person in less than a week has been arrested and charged with using deceptive acts in order to obtain food stamp benefits.
According to an arrest affidavit obtained by an Angelina County District Attorney's Office investigator, Shannon Diane Farmer, 37, used false information in July 2008 in a form used by the Texas Department of Health and Human Services in determining eligibility for food stamp benefits.
The affidavit alleges Farmer stated she was not employed, when, in fact, she was.
Farmer was booked into the Angelina County Jail on Friday and charged with securing execution of document by deception.
Two other women, Maria Salais Garcia, 46, of Diboll, and Martha Elvira Zapata, 31, of Lufkin, were arrested on Thursday on the same charge.
