Lufkin Police bust 2 on drug charges while checking store alarm

LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) -

LUFKIN, Texas (KTRE) - Lufkin Police arrested two men early Thursday while checking a burglary alarm at a Lufkin store.

According to the police report, officers investigated the alarm at Big Lots, located at 809 S. Timberland Drive and saw a vehicle parked behind the building. The driver, Terry James Gregory, 27, of Pineland, and the passenger, Clayton Emory Williams, 21, of Chireno, were found to be in possession of drugs, according to the report.

Both were booked into the Angelina County Jail Thursday morning. Gregory is charged with possession of a controlled substance-cocaine and Williams is charged with possession of a controlled substance-cocaine, possession of a dangerous drug-xanex and possession of marijuana.

The officers did not determine the cause of the building alarm.
