Reports say Cowboys' Wade Phillips out, Jason Garrett promoted

UNDATED – KTVT in Dallas is reporting that Wade Phillips has been fired as the head coach for the Dallas Cowboys. Jason Garrett will be elevated as head coach of the Cowboys.

The Dallas Cowboys' season just sinks deeper with each game. The Cowboys were destroyed by the Packers in Green Bay last night, 45-7. The loss leaves the Cowboys 1-and-7, with their worst start to a season since 1989.

Former Lufkin Panther Dez Bryant scored the only touchdown for the Cowboys. It came with 16 seconds left in the second quarter—Kitna passes to Bryant for two yards and the score.
