1 killed, 2 injured in Polk County wreck

POLK COUNTY, TX (KTRE) -

POLK COUNTY, Texas (KTRE) - A Pearland man died and two Onalaska men were injured in a one-vehicle wreck Thursday night just north of Onalaska.

According to the Department of Public Safety report, William Edmond Gibson, 69, of Onalaska, was driving a 2003 Chevy Tracker northbound on FM 356, a tenth of a mile north of Onalaska, at 7:36 p.m. when he left the road and overturned.

A passenger in the vehicle, Michael Shane Morris, 30, of Pearland, was pronounced dead at the scene at 8:50 p.m.

A second passenger, Adam Brice Crowton, 26, of Onalaska, is listed in stable condition at a Livingston hospital with a head injury.

Gibson also suffered a head injury and is listed in stable condition at the Livingston hospital.

All three men were wearing seatbelts.
