DIBOLL, TX (KTRE) - DIBOLL, Texas (KTRE) - Diboll Police say they found marijuana on a man following a chase with him after illegally trespassed on property he was told to stay away.
According to Officer Matt Reppond, Terrell Justin Rogers, 23, was caught on the property of the Diboll Housing Authority, located at 702 South First Street, where he had been warned not to trespass. An officer approached Rogers, who fled on foot into a wooded area, Reppond said.
Reppond said he caught up to him and arrested him.
"He got winded and I was able to catch him," Reppond said.
Police found Rogers to be in possession of marijuana, and because he was within 1,000 feet of a drug-free zone, Walter Allen Park, his possession charge was upgraded to a felony.
Rogers was also charged with criminal trespass and evading arrest.
