Cold front to hit East Texas tonight

FROM THE EAST TEXAS WEATHER CENTER (KTRE) - As a cold front blows through East Texas this evening, we will see some more chilly temperatures funnel into the Piney Woods, setting the stage for a couple of cold mornings as we round out the week.

As the winds shift out of the north, you will start to feel the cooler temperatures, especially by tomorrow morning.  Low temperatures across the Texas Forest Country will range from the upper 30's to the lower 40's on Thursday, with highs only making the lower 60's.

Make sure you send the kids off to school with those coats and jackets the next couple of days, as there will be a chill in the morning air.

Friday morning will be our coldest morning, as lows will drop into the middle 30's.

As we head towards the weekend, we will see a gradual warm-up take place, with highs climbing back up into the 70s.
