11/18/2010 Lufkin Police Report

11-18-2010         Criminal Mischief          100 Block Kirksey Drive

At approximately 2:30 A.M. on Thursday, November 18, 2010, a complainant reported to Lufkin Police Department that an unidentified actor(s) damaged the complainant's vehicle while the vehicle was parked in the 100 block of Kirksey Drive, Pinewood Park apartment complex.  According to the report, the complainant stated that the actor(s) caused dents to the side and trunk areas of the vehicle, and a witness stated that they saw two unidentified male subjects fighting near the vehicle earlier that date.  The report stated that the incident was referred for further investigation.

11-17-2010         Assault and Criminal Mischief     500 Block South Third Street

At approximately 11:00 P.M. on Wednesday, November 17, 2010, a complainant reported to Lufkin Police Department that a known suspect assaulted the complainant and damaged property within the complainant's residence, located in the 500 block of South Third Street.  According to the report, the complainant stated that her girlfriend caused a bump to the complainants head and then used a knife to damage a mattress within the complainant's residence.  According to the report, the complainant stated to the responding Lufkin Police Department officers that she did not wished to pursue a charge of Assault but did wish to pursue a charge of Criminal Mischief and the officers informed the complainant that due to the dating relationship between the complainant and suspect, the incident as reported is Assault/Family Violence and will be investigated.  The report stated that the suspect fled the area prior to the complainant contacting Lufkin Police Department and that the incident was referred for further investigation.

11-17-2010         Arrest                   4600 South Medford Drive

At approximately 7:20 P.M. on Wednesday, November 17, 2010, at Sears, located at 4600 South Medford Drive in Lufkin, Lufkin Police Department officers arrested Teneisha Lanae Simon (Black / Female / 20 / Lufkin) for the offense of Theft, a Class C Misdemeanor, and Jasmine Antoinette Simon (Black / Female / 19 / Lufkin) for the offenses of Theft, a Class C Misdemeanor, and Failure to Identify (Fugitive), a Class A Misdemeanor, as well as an outstanding arrest warrant for the offense of Robbery, a Second Degree Felony.  According to the report, a Sears' loss prevention employee reported to Lufkin Police Department that he detained Teneisha Lanae Simon and Jasmine Antranet Simon after witnessing them concealing Sears merchandise on their person.  The report stated that Jasmine Antoinette Simon identified herself to the Lufkin Police Department officers by a false name, "Christina Lashay Simon", and when her correct name was determined the officers learned that Angelina County Sheriff's Office held an outstanding warrant for her arrest, issued on or about August 10, 2010 for the offense of Robbery.  Both suspects were booked into Angelina County Jail, Teneisha Lanae Simon for the offense of Theft and Jasmine Antoinette Simon for the outstanding arrest warrant and the offenses of Theft and Failure to Identify (Fugitive).

11-17-2010         Criminal Mischief                 3100 Block East Denman Avenue

On Wednesday, November 17, 2010, a complainant reported to Lufkin Police Department that an unidentified actor(s) damaged the complainant's vehicle while the vehicle was parked outside of an automotive repair business located in the 3100 block of East Denman Avenue.  According to the report, the complainant stated that the actor(s) caused damage to the hood, grill, and front bumper areas of the vehicle.  The report stated that the incident was referred for further investigation.

11-17-2010         Fraud                   2900 Block Brentwood Drive

On Wednesday, November 17, 2010, the son of a complainant reported to Lufkin Police Department that the complainant's spouse withheld or concealed money from the complainant.  According to the reporting person, the complainant is incarcerated at Angelina County Jail awaiting transfer to Texas Department of Criminal Justice after to pleading guilty to several offenses, but is involved in civil litigation with his spouse over money, including money received from an oil and gas lease.  The report stated that the incident was referred for further investigation to determine whether a criminal offense occurred, or not.

11-17-2010         Theft/A               800 Block Atkinson Drive

On Wednesday, November 17, 2010, a complainant reported to Lufkin Police Department that between November 08, 2010 and November 17, 2010, an unidentified actor(s) stole an air conditioning unit from outside of a vacant residence, located in the 800 block of Atkinson Drive.  The report stated that the incident was referred for further investigation.

11-17-2010         Harassment        1500 Block South First Street

On Wednesday, November 17, 2010, a complainant reported to Lufkin Police Department that for approximately two weeks a known suspect has harassed the complainant by telephone.  According to the report, the complainant stated that the suspect has repeatedly called the complainant's place of employment in an attempt to cause the complainant to be fired.  The report stated that the incident was referred for further investigation.

11-17-2010         Fraud                   1400 Block Atkinson Drive

On Wednesday, November 17, 2010, a complainant reported to Lufkin Police Department that he received two text messages to his mobile telephone concerning a loan for which he did not apply.  According to the report, the complainant stated that the first message stated that his loan application had been approved and the second message stated that the funds had been transferred to his bank account, and that the complainant believes an ex-girlfriend may have utilized his identifying information to apply for a loan.  The incident was referred for further investigation to determine whether a criminal offense occurred, or not, but the incident as reported fits the pattern of a phishing scam.

11-17-2010         Harassment        3400 Block Nerren Avenue

On Wednesday, November 17, 2010, a complainant reported to Lufkin Police Department that known suspects harassed the complainant by telephone.  According to the report, the complainant stated that his step-daughter and the step-daughter's friend call the complainant's telephone approximately ten times each day and refuse to discontinue the calls.  The report stated that the incident was referred for further investigation.

11-17-2010         Theft/B                1200 Block East Lufkin Avenue

On Wednesday, November 17, 2010, a complainant reported to Lufkin Police Department that at approximately 11:00 A.M. that date an unidentified suspect stole merchandise from within a business located in the 1200 block of West Frank Avenue.  According to the report, the complainant, an employee of the business, stated that the female suspect exited the business without making payment for a Craig brand portable DVD player.  The report stated that the complainant provided the responding Lufkin Police Department officer a description of the suspect and the suspect's vehicle, and that the incident was referred for further investigation.
