Corrigan-Camden Bulldogs headed for the next football playoff round

CROCKETT, TX (KTRE) – The Corrigan-Camden Bulldogs (6-4) are headed to the next round after beating the Franklin Lions 20-14 Thursday night in Crockett.

The Bulldogs are used to playing under pressure and being in the playoffs is nothing new for them, afterall they've made it every year since 1997, however, in recent years a state title has been elusive for the mighty 'dogs.

Thursday night's game was fierce both teams playing unrelenting as the score stayed close the entire game going into the fourth quarter tied 14-14.  It turned out to be Corrigan's night.  A touchdown late in the fourth quarter secured the win and their spot in the 2A Division II regional playoffs next week.

Corrigan last captured the state crown in 2002. The players with full support from the community are on the road to make 2010 their fairy tale year.
