BEAUMONT, TX (News Release) -

NACOGDOCHES, Texas (KTRE) - A Nacogdoches County Grand Jury has indicted two men on a charge for murder in the stabbing death of a Nacogdoches man.

Nathan Welsh, 22, and Milton Brown, 18, were arrested in October in the stabbing death of Thomas Wayne Grimes, 49.

According to a previous report, a fight broke out between Welsh and Grimes, that Brown participated in, which led to Welsh stabbing Grimes.

Preliminary investigation has revealed that the two suspects and the victim were acquainted with each other. All three were inside the victim's apartment Monday evening when a disturbance arose and Grimes was fatally stabbed.

Investigators said Grimes was found in a pool of his own blood at 3220 North Street just after 11 p.m.  He later died at Nacogdoches Memorial Hospital.
