Lufkin Police make arrest in Pizza Hut robbery

LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) -

LUFKIN, Texas (KTRE) - Lufkin Police have arrested a man accused of robbing a Lufkin Pizza Hut Sunday night.

According to the police report, Antonio Jerod Bogany went into the Pizza Hut located in the 200 block of South Timberland Drive, showed a handgun and stole money from a cash register before fleeing the area on foot.

Witnesses gave a description of Bogany to police, who located him near the intersection of South Third Street and Finley Avenue. However, Bogany fled again and ran into his apartment, located at 902 South Second Street, according to the report.

Officers found Bogany while he was trying to hide in the closet and also found the stolen money, according to the report.

Police arrested Bogany at 8:30 p.m. He is charged with aggravated robbery, evading arrest and an outstanding warrant for revocation of probation.
