LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - LUFKIN, Texas (KTRE) - Lufkin Police arrested a Lufkin man Tuesday in connection to a 16-foot trailer reported stolen from a business parking lot on Nov. 27.
Willie Frank Henry Sr., 50, is charged with theft, a state jail felony.
According to the arrest report, Henry stole the homemade trailer from an individual behind a business located in the 900 block of North Timberland Drive, at about 10 a.m. on Nov. 27.
At about 12:23 p.m. Saturday, an officer stopped a blue Ford truck pulling the trailer on Raguet Street because the trailer's tail lamps were defective. At the time of the stop, it was not known that the trailer had been stolen, so the driver was identified, identified as Henry, and issued a traffic citation, and released.
When the theft report was filed, an officer contacted Henry and learned that the trailer was stored at a residence located in the 400 block of FM 706 in Lufkin. The trailer was recovered from the FM 706 residence and released to its owner. On Nov. 30, a judge issued a warrant for the arrest of Henry for the offense of theft.
Henry was taken into custody at his Paul Avenue residence and booked into Angelina County Jail for the outstanding arrest warrant.
