SMITH COUNTY, TEXAS (KLTV) - During their most recent inspection of the Cotton Patch Cafe located at ESE Loop 323 in Tyler, inspectors noticed turkey slices, grilled chicken and butter all needed to be tossed out.

There was also an issue with employees following hand washing and hygiene rules. Those violations combined with a dirty dish machine and grill led to a total of 20 demerits.

Hand washing errors also had to be corrected at Whataburger located at 16772 F.M. 2493. Inspectors came across a rusty can opener that needed replacing. Raw, shelled eggs were also stored improperly: 18 demerits.

The South Broadway Mazzio's Pizza location in Tyler was also recently inspected. Too much caked on food and grease needed scrubbing from some pans. Workers could not even get to one of the hand sinks. There were also several bags of cooked pasta that were out of date. It all yielded 17 demerits.
