A brief warm-up followed by a cold blast

(STORM TRACKER WEATHER CENTER):  Even though we will have some chilly mornings to round out the work-week, afternoon highs will start to moderate and slowly warm-up, getting our temperatures near normal for this time of year.

We have already had several cold fronts blow through East Texas this fall season.  The coldest will be coming in this weekend.

Your weekend forecast will be a tale of two halves.  Saturday will be rather warm with a chance of showers and thunderstorms.

As the Arctic cold front blows through Saturday night, temperatures will be falling, leading to a much colder day on Sunday.

If you are planning on finishing up any outdoor decorating, such as putting up Christmas lights, etc, I would plan on doing it Saturday.

You can read more about the upcoming cold blast in Chief Meteorologist Brad Hlozek's Weather Blog.
