LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) – The words and phrases of the year 2010 that just get under your skin. Whatever, like, you know what I mean, to tell you the truth, actually.

A new poll finds these five expressions to be the most obnoxious of 2010.

Other phrases that make your skin crawl..."at the end of the day"..."blood and treasure"..."it is what it is" and "look"... when it's used to start the answer to a question.

So which words drive East Texans bananas?

"OMG. I hate that."

"Absolutely."

"When they don't answer your question and they say I guess."

"Laugh out loud."

"That's what she said."

"You can sit there and try to be talking about something serious and they're just like that's what she said."

"Like so many times in a sentence and I was like and she was like and he was like."

"We're in a recession. It's because we're in a recession. And we hear it a lot."

"Get on my level. I get so irritated when people say that because they don't know what level I'm on!"

The stylists at Elegant Images are used to talking, a lot. Gossip is the nature of their business.

"It's kind of like your little news. You know things before most people know them," said Chelsey Gibson, stylist.

"I really don't like gossip very much. If it's good and if you're telling someone something good and you can prosper someone in what your repeating, that's great," said Wendy Rojo, stylist.

With lots of chatter come many of these obnoxious phrases, ones they even admit to uttering once and awhile.

Let's circle back. At the end of the day, most of these words and phrases are ones people say they could do without.
