Lufkin drug dealer gets 8 years

LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - LUFKIN, Texas (KTRE) - A drug dealer once featured on KTRE Crime Stoppers has pleaded guilty to five separate drug charges.

Elzie Earl Edwards was arrested in Aug. 2009, a day after the report aired on KTRE.

He pleaded guilty to five charges involving delivery of marijuana and cocaine.

In exchange for the plea, he agreed to eight years in prison, to be followed by 10 years probation.
