BEAUMONT, TX (News Release) -

NACOGDOCHES, Texas (KTRE) - A Nacogdoches County grand jury indicted five men Friday in sex-related crimes, including a Nacogdoches man accused of kidnapping and raping a 15-year-old girl.

According to a previous report, investigators were able to use a composite sketch and a DNA sample from the victim to identify Leroy Diamond Jr., 42, as the suspect in the April 21 incident.

Sheriff Thomas Kerss stated the girl was walking along Martin Luther King Boulevard in Nacogdoches when Diamond, who she did not know, offered her a ride home in his car. She accepted and gave him directions to her home. When the girl realized he was not driving to her home, she tried to jump out of the car, Kerss stated. Diamond was able to restrain her and held her at knifepoint until he drover her to a cemetery located in the Woden area, according to Kerss.

Diamond raped the girl on multiple occasions, Kerss stated. Following one of the rapes, Kerss states the girl kicked Diamond in the groin and ran away.

Other indictments issued Friday:

* Martin Cordero Garcia, 31, of Nacogdoches, for indecency with a child. According to a previous report, the Nacogdoches County Sheriff's Office arrested him following a month-long investigation into a girl's allegation that he touched her inappropriately. Kerss said the investigation showed Garcia was an acquaintance of the 12-year-old girl's parents. On Oct. 18, he came to their house in an intoxicated state and touched her inappropriately, Kerss said. Kerss said the girl reported the incident to her parents, who then went to authorities.

* John Randall Goynes, 42, of Nacogdoches, for criminal solicitation. According to a previous report, police say Goynes called a phone chat line looking for a young girl to engage with in sexual activity.

* Kenneth Ray Lover, 23, of Nacogdoches, for failure to register as a sex offender.
