LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) – A Christmas gathering at a Lufkin church turned frightening Thursday evening when a gun was pulled in the parking lot.

Lufkin police are looking into an alleged aggravated robbery scenario at the Emmanuel Assembly of God church on Timberland.

A man went outside the church and saw an unknown black male getting out of his best friend's truck with his cell phone.  When asked what the suspect was doing, he pulled a gun and demanded his wallet.

Before he handed over the wallet, another car pulled into the parking lot, scaring the suspect.

He ran-off with the cell phone, but not the wallet.

According to Corporal Wesley Ross with LPD no arrests have been made in this case.
