Lufkin man pleads guilty in 2009 drug bust

LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - LUFKIN, Texas (KTRE) - A Lufkin man pleaded guilty Tuesday to selling drugs out of his Cedar Grove home.

A judge will determine a sentencing for Willie Lee Sturgis, 64, on Feb. 3.

Sturgis was arrested in Jun. 2009 after Angelina County Sheriff's deputies served a warrant on his home on the 800 block of Jackson Street. Deputies found five grams of cocaine, almost $2,000 in cash and a stolen rifle at the home.

The district attorney's office dropped two of the four charges against Sturgis, in exchange for the plea.
