Tulane Drive in Lufkin re-opens after SUV ruptures natural gas line

LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) – Lufkin Fire officials have issued an all clear now that repairs to a ruptured gas line on Tulane Drive has been repaired.

Few details are available.

A fire department spokesperson said the driver of an SUV apparently lost control of the vehicle and hit a natural gas line, causing it to rupture.  Tulane was closed in both directions while repairs were being made.

The street was reopened about 12:15 Wednesday afternoon.
