EAST TEXAS (KLTV/KTRE) - A high speed chase that spanned two East Texas counties ends with one man in custody.
The chase, involving a pickup, first started in Smith county around 12:20 this morning and lasted more than an hour. It went east down Highway 31 into Gregg county, then back into Smith county.
DPS says at one point the driver crashed his vehicle into a DPS patrol car. The man was taken to ETMC with minor injuries and we're told the DPS trooper who was hit was not hurt in the crash.
