LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) – Need a reason to start exercising? How does helping those with lung cancer sound?  Saturday morning, the first ever Zumbathon is being held at Livewell Athletic club in Lufkin.

Kicking off at 9 am the three hour event is raising money to aid needy patients at the Arthur Temple Senior Regional Cancer Center.

Just $25 gets you three hours of Zumba fun, a t-shirt and a chance to win great door prizes.

"To come in and to encourage them to get off the couch and start moving. It's a brand new year. We all have new years resolution to lose some weight or be more active and this is a good way to get it started," said Yana Ogletree, one of the event's organizers.

KTRE is one of the sponsors.  It's open to all ages, genders and skill-levels.  Zumba is basically follow-the-leader dancing... so anyone can catch on.

You can sign up now or Saturday morning before the event.
