ANGELINA COUNTY, TX (KTRE) - ANGELINA COUNTY, Texas (KTRE) - The Angelina County Sheriff's Office has arrested a Crosby man who allegedly stole items and credit cards from his father's residence while he was in a hospital.
Robert Wayne Dillahunty, 39, is charged with possession of a controlled substance, theft and two counts of credit card abuse.
According to arrest warrant affidavits, Dillahunty's father contacted the sheriff's office on Dec. 11 and said his son, who has stolen from him in the past and was on probation for doing so, had stayed at the residence while he was at the hospital. He said when he returned home, a guitar, which Dillahunty had stolen before, a generator, jewelry and three credit cards had been stolen.
The father said he saw the credit cards had been used numerous times at numerous locations. One was used at a drug store in the amount of $6.49 to purchase a product which contains pseudoephodrine, which requires a signature.
A deputy pulled the log from the drug store and saw Dillahunty had signed it.
An investigator obtained a warrant for Dillahunty's arrest on Dec. 29.
Dillahunty was booked in the Angelina County Jail on Wednesday.
