Center woman dies in three vehicle crash, two others injured

SHELBY COUNTY, TX (KTRE) – One died and two were injured in a three vehicle crash Saturday morning.

According to the Department of Public Safety report, Travis Morgan, 22, of Katy was driving eastbound in a 2000 Chevrolet truck at 11:50 a.m. on State Highway 7 at County Road 3156, in Shelby County.

Johnnie Norris, 50, of Center, was also traveling eastbound in a 1990 Oldsmobile.

Rudy Eddington, 65, of Shelbyville was traveling westbound in a 1994 Chevrolet truck.

According to the trooper's report, Norris was attempting to make a left turn when Morgan's vehicle struck her car. She entered the westbound lane, and was struck by Eddington's vehicle.

Norris died at the scene. She was not wearing a seatbelt.

Morgan and Eddington were transported to Shelby Regional Hospital in Center. The report stated they are both in good condition with some cuts and bruises.

The crash is under investigation by Trooper Stephen Lister.
