BEAUMONT, TX (News Release) -

NACOGDOCHES, Texas (KTRE) - A Nacogdoches man convicted of a sexual offense was arrested Friday after police say he moved without giving proper notice.

Marcus Dan Rodrigues, 34, is charged with failure to register as a sex offender, a third-degree felony.

Nacogdoches Police spokesman Greg Sowell said police learned Rodrigues had moved without registering a new address, a violation for sex offenders. Police obtained a warrant for his arrest on Friday and arrested him the same day.

Rodrigues was convicted in 1997 of sexual assault of a 14-year-old girl.
