CUSHING, TX (KTRE) - CUSHING, Texas (KTRE) - A Cushing man was arrested Friday after authorities say he tried to forcefully collect interest on a loan.
Johnny Van Halstead, 61, is charged with aggravated robbery and carrying a prohibited weapon.
According to Nacogdoches County Sheriff Thomas Kerss, Halstead met with the victim in Cushing. The victim paid Halstead the money he owed him and Halstead who was "highly inebriated" pulled out a weapon and demanded all of his money.
Information on what kind of weapon he pulled, and how deputies managed to arrest Halstead was not available.
