LUFKIN, Texas (KTRE) - A Lufkin woman was injured after her vehicle was rear-ended by another vehicle when she pulled onto the Lufkin loop near the U.S. 69 South intersection, according to Lufkin Police.
Officer Brad Lawrence said Selena Harrison, 33, of Lufkin, was driving a 2002 Chevy Impala at 12:45 p.m. when she was rear-ended by Max Charles Montgomery, 77, of Colmesneil, who had switched to the outside lane.
Harrison's car ran off the road and landed on a culvert. City workers were called to the scene to repair the damage.
Harrison was taken to a Lufkin hospital to be treated for arm and neck injuries. Montgomery was not injured, Lawrence said.
Traffic was reduced to one lane for about 10 minutes while crews cleared the scene.
Lawrence said a citation would likely be issued to Montgomery.
