NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) – A student attending Stephen F. Austin University died in a motorcycle accident Friday night, according to police.

Sgt. Mack McKee with the Nacogdoches Police Department said 28-year-old Justin Shank was riding his Buell motorcycle on the 2800 block of North Street at 7:00 pm when a Nissan Titan pickup driven by 20-year-old Lakken Messimer of Winnsboro made a left turn in front of him. The motorcycle struck the middle of the truck caving it in and knocking out the drive shaft.  Shank was transported to Nacogdoches Memorial Hospital but did not survive his injuries.
