LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - LUFKIN, Texas (KTRE) - A Diboll man pleaded guilty Tuesday for his role in three home burglaries, accepting a probation sentence.
Baldwin's probation will last six years. He also agreed to pay restitution to the victims, obtain a GED or high school diploma within two years, testify against his co-defendants, have no contact with the co-defendants and other terms.
Baldwin, 19, was arrested in early January, along with Alexander Gabriel Castillo, 20, and Kendal Jackson, 20. The three are accused of stealing $16,000 worth of jewelry from a home on FM 2497.
Angelina County deputies managed to trace the crime back to Castillo, who authorities said admitted to breaking into the home and two others, and said Jackson and Baldwin worked with him.
The three were charged with engaging in organized criminal activity. However, Baldwin pleaded to three counts of burglary, a lesser charge.
