NACOGDOCHES COUNTY, Texas (KTRE) - The Nacogdoches County Sheriff's Office has arrested a Douglass man accused of inappropriately touching a 12-year-old girl staying at the house during the Tuesday storm.

Sheriff Thomas Kerss said deputies were called to the house on the 100 block of Fore Drive at 3:01 a.m. By the time they arrived, Francisco Hernandez, 44, had fled the scene on foot. It took deputies 45 minutes to find him and take him into custody.

Kerss said the victim claimed Hernandez touched him inappropriately and she immediately let family members know. It was when they confronted him that he fled.

Hernandez is charged with indecency with a child.
