LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) -

LUFKIN, Texas (KTRE) - Angelina County authorities arrested three Lufkin women and two men on Wednesday in connection to a motel meth lab in which lawmen say the drug was cooked with a child present.

Terry Lee Loving, 24, of Willis, is charged with engaging in organized criminal activity; Louis Ray Loving Jr., 26, Holly  Linnea Vadelund, 20, and Laura Fisher Vadelund, 43, all of Lufkin are charged with possession of a controlled substance, engaging in organized criminal activity and endangering a child. Lyndsey Denise Miller, 20, of Lufkin, is charged with possession of certain chemicals and engaging in organized criminal activity.

According to Department of Public Safety spokesman Sgt. Greg Sanches, the case was a joint effort between DPS, Lufkin Police and the Angelina County Sheriff's Office.

Sanches said investigators received information that the five would rent motel rooms and cook meth and leave right before check-out time. Surveillance showed them leaving a Lufkin motel room around 10:30 a.m. Wednesday. DPS pulled them over right after they left the room.

Investigators went to the room they had left and smelled a strong odor of burning marijuana, Sanches said.

A child was present at the time of the arrest and Child Protective Services took the child into custody.

Sanches did not release details about what evidence investigators used to file the meth charges or which motel they used to cook the meth.

Loving accepted a probation sentence in December in connection to a meth lab bust in November of 2009. As part of the probation, Loving agrred to not have contact with his co-defendants, and in fact testify against them. One of those defendants was in fact Miller, who Angelina County Sheriff's Sgt. Allen Hill said was in the car with Loving.

"We saw them leave the room and stopped them," Hill said. "Then we went back to the motel and did a knock and talk and were able to arrest the other three."

Hill said Holly Vadelund is the daughter of Laura Vadelund. The child, who Hill said was a two-to-three year-old boy, is the son of Holley Vadelund. Terry Loving and Louis Loving are brothers, Hill said.
