ANGELINA COUNTY, TX (KTRE) - ANGELINA COUNTY, Texas (KTRE) - Angelina County law enforcement officers have arrested a woman who they say participated in a burglary spree in Angelina County.
Andrea May, 28, is charged with three counts of burglary. Charges are also pending against her husband, Charles Edward Adams, 34, of Buna.
According to an arrest warrant affidavit, May, who is being charged with burglaries in Jasper County, told investigators there that she and her husband were involved in burglaries in Angelina County.
Angelina County Sheriff's Office Investigator Mike Jones spoke with the Jasper County authorities, who told him that May would admit to the burglaries if they had evidence of her committing them.
Affidavits detail allegations of May and her husband burglarizing three homes in May and June of 2010, stealing two rifles, a laptop computer, a projector TV, ruby ring, leaf blower, black powder pistol, crossbow, deer camera, power tools, air conditioner, four children's bicycles and a fishing pole.
May signed statements admitting to the burglaries, according to the affidavit. She was booked into the Angelina County Jail on Thursday.
Jones said in a telephone interview Friday that Adams would be transported to the Angelina County Jail to also face burglary charges once his case in Jasper County is resolved.
