LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) –They are "wild-n-out"out for Christ.

Every Saturday, Our Fathers House Faith Ministry on 518 South Third Street in Lufkin invites kids of all ages from throughout East Texas to their youth outreach program.

The program is every Saturday from noon until two p.m. and includes food, games, prizes, and help with homework.

After growing up in a troubled environment, youth pastor Robert Murphy was inspired to give back to his community. He wanted to reach out to young people and remind them there's more to life than texting, and TV from the comfort of their couch.

"We just want to be a motivation to kids and show there is something positive you can do on Saturday morning that's best productive and also it's going to be something good that's going to maybe be able to help you on a resume later in life," said Murphy.

The free day of fun is also a chance for kids to have fellowship with one another while practicing a healthy lifestyle that includes spiritual growth.

It is free and parents are invited to come along. You can contact the church during the week if your child needs help with transportation.
