An Accident Claims Life of Huntington Man

Recent storms are being blamed for an accident that claimed the life of a Huntington man and sent two teenagers to the hospital.

The accident happened on Highway 21 West of Nacogdoches near the Hayter Hill area.

The Department of Public Safety says 31-year-old James Stanberry was traveling East when his car hydroplaned and hit an oncoming vehicle. Stanberry was killed on impact.

The driver of the other car, 17-year-old Gentry Michalsky, and her sister, 15-year-old Megan Michalsky, were taken to Nacogdoches Memorial Hospital where they are listed in stable condition.
